Sharon Diskin is a mime artist and member of the acclaimed mime theatre duo, THE CHAMELEONS. THE CHAMELEONS have performed their programs for over one million children and adults all over the world. Noted for their exciting performance style and professional discipline, Sharon and her husband and performing partner, Keith Berger, have been enthusiastically received by audiences and critics alike at theatre venues including New York City’s La Mama, L.A.’s, Disney Concert Hall, The Edinburgh Arts Festival in Scotland, and The Macau Cultural Centre, to name just a few, as well as numerous TV appearances.

Sharon began her professional theatre career as a child in Arizona acting in numerous stage productions. She is probable best remembered in her hometown for her gripping portrayal of Anne Frank in “The Diary of Anne Frank”. Since then she went on to portray such classic roles a “Peter Pan” and “Miss Julie”. Her early film work includes “Angel Heart” and Chantal Acherman’s “Histoires D’Amerique”.

She fell in love with the art of Mime in college when she had the good fortune to study with a guest artist named Keith Berger. After graduating from Oberlin College with a degree in Spanish she went on to train for 5 years at The American Mime Theatre in New York City under the tutelage of Paul Curtis. During this time, she teamed up with Keith to form their very unique performance duo.

A gifted teacher as well as performer, Sharon has taught workshops and master classes in Physical Theatre and Mime throughout the U.S., including Cornell University, The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, The Disney Animation Studios and at hundreds of schools throughout Southern California. She has also taught workshops in England and China. Sharon was honored with the PASA award for her excellence as a professional artist in the schools, which was presented by the County of Los Angeles, California Arts Council, and the California Department of Education. She is a Master Teaching Artist with The L.A. Music Center and The Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts.

Sharon and Keith live in L.A., and they have two grown children who are also performing artists.
